Cats for Adoption

Brightside has recently rescued a large number of cats and other animals including pigs, geese,a goat and mice from one owner.

Things had gotten out of control and the owner had 36 cats and hundreds of other animals on about one acre.

Because of the large number of animals veterinary treatment was not affordable and many of the animals were suffering from severe illness and emaciation.

We removed 20 cats from the house sadly a number of them had to be euthenased due to severe illness, some adult cats weighed as little as 1.6 kg.

We have been able to find loving homes for some of the cats but others are still awaiting a loving home.

All are de sexed and wormed. Due to a life long exposure to Cat Flu- (of which the cats have no symptoms) the vet believes there is no need to vaccinate these cats due to natural immunity.
